On behalf of Crossing the Waters Institute For Cultural Exchange I would like to express my gratitude to the Reparations Collective for their commitment and solidarity to organizations led by people of African descent and the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island. As a member of the Collective’s accountability committee I am able to witness first-hand the dedication to their fundraising efforts, seeking out resources while being ever mindful of sharing our stories and work to the public and to potential donors in a most honourable and respectful way. 

We need more allies like the Reparations Collective. They are a beacon of light for organizations led by people of color, especially during this time in history where light is shadowed by despair.
